In 2013 we built our first brewery in a former monastery in De Pijp. We started with 3 types of beer that you could enjoy in the adjoining pub. The annual capacity was 100,000 liters, all of which was consumed right on the spot. In 2015 we expanded our production capacity with a new brewery at the Westergas grounds. Today, Brouwerij Troost De Pijp is the place where we experiment, develop new beers, and produce small-batch brews.
Good beer deserves good food – and you’ll find plenty of that at Brouwerij Troost. The kitchen at Brouwerij Troost De Pijp is open until 10:30 PM, serving up the tastiest burgers, salads, bitterballen, spareribs, nachos, cheesecakes, and so much more.
Every Monday and Tuesday evening you can join the Brouwerij Troost Pub Quiz at Troost De Pijp! On Mondays the quiz is in Dutch, and on Tuesdays in English. In teams of two up to a maximum of five people, you’ll answer questions spread out over several rounds. There’s always a music round, a picture round, and a special theme round. The theme is announced well in advance via our socials, so make sure to prepare! For the rest, it’s finally time to put all that “useless” knowledge in your head to good use.
Participation costs €3.50 per person, and the winners will earn a ripped-up bar tab. But don’t worry if you lose: there’s always a consolation prize, plus the jackpot question where luck can earn you a portion of bitterballen.
We start at 8:00 PM and wrap up no later than 10:30 PM. Reserve online, by phone, or by email, and let us know how many people are joining, what time you’ll arrive, and whether you’d like to grab a bite beforehand. Teams larger than five are allowed, but beware – extra players will cost you penalty points!
